Who We Are

Funkie Gardens is a family owned business started by Baard and Diane Webster in 1995. We are located in Prescott, WI about twelve miles from River Falls, WI and just across the Mississippi river from Hastings, MN.

Prescott is an old river town situated where the St. Croix river, a National Scenic Riverway, joins the Mississippi river. We are just 30 minutes from St. Paul, MN.

We have an in-town nursery located on three and one-half acres---ample room for a selling area, display gardens and propagation beds---all surrounding a pre-Civil War-era home.

What We Offer

We sell a wide variety of sun and shade perennials and are always looking for new and unique plants. We sell hosta, daylilies, fern, grasses, lilies, geranium, sedum, peony, clematis, a small variety of unique trees and shrubs, woodland plants, and much more.

Knowing that gardeners are always looking for new plants and places to visit, we welcome you. We hope our display gardens inspire you, our plants impress you, and our friendly service brings you back again.

What�s New

Here�s a sampling of some of the exciting new plants we will be carrying this year:

Hosta �Beckoning�: A fantastic large sport of H. 'Blue Angel'. The gold leaves are matched with a wide, blue-green margin. These huge, heart-shaped leaves are lightly cupped and glaucous. A great specimen plant.

Hosta �Bingo�: A rarely seen hosta which originated as a seedling of H. 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa'. The medium-sized clumps of thick, corrugated blue foliage are bordered by a nice wide band of gold.

Hosta �Blazing Saddles�: This beautiful hosta is a seedling from H. 'Blue Umbrellas'. Makes a large four-foot clump with oblong leaves and a wide creamy-white edge. Good growth rate.
